I figured I'd post two projects completed last semester in a color theory class. because, well, i like them - they are one of my first attempts at working with acrylic. someday, i'll master those oils... they're each about 15 by 20 inches. and yes, thats me.

a little bit of this

i like to try to recreate designs, ads, or just random art that i like and put my own twist on it. inspiration is always good and i've only come to realize this in the last few years. its ok to steal someone's idea if you make it your own. i'm not trying to pass someone else's work off for mine, don't get me wrong. i just like to see if i can create something with the same feel, but make it my own at the same time.

and here i am

Hopefully this is the beginning of a little spot where I can chronicle my travels through art school. Mostly, I'll post stuff that I think is post-worthy, and I'll also talk about what I'm interested in at the fleeting moment I happen to be writing. Eh, no one will read this, but I'll feel like I'm doing something productive and possibly constructive towards becoming the creative genius I hope to be someday. Its all about me, basically. Isn't that what blogs are all about?
