Our last project in Communication Design I: Representing our 'day in the life' through 7 panels. The hard copy folds into an accordian style book. Its inspired by marian bantjes (view her awesome work at www.bantjes.com).
The first actual course towards my degree that isn't just a painting or drawing or printmaking class - but a graphic design class. And here are my first logos for real companies here in austin made for this first class. They were required to be done by hand...so you'll have to excuse the imperfections.
I am so excited about printmaking this semester. I just love the entire process...deciding on your composition, carving the linoleum, inking it, printing it. And its like a surprise everytime - a consistent surprise. Anyways, here is a proof on newsprint of the first project. I'll put up an official print in a week or so.
I'm a design student, hailing from Austin, Tx that got a film degree and did a concentration in art history at UT. I just got engaged and am ecstatic about planning (well, to me, its really about designing) a wedding. Oh, the possibilities...
